Typical Weekly Menu

We certainly didn’t follow our plan last week.  It’s okay though so far we haven’t been arrested by any menu planning police 😉  This week  is actually fairly low-key and (say it softly, please) not very busy with activities so hopefully, the plan will hold together.  I feel inspired to perhaps do a bit more cooking and baking with a lighter schedule.  I am hoping to add some Fall dessert items to our menus and am especially craving this butterscotch apple cake.  We’ll see what happens.

Ham Steak, Spicy Sweet Potatoes, and Dinner Rolls

Mexican Chicken Soup

BBQ sandwiches and French Fries (soccer practice night)

Smorgasboard night!  Isn’t that a lot more fun to say than I’m going to clean out the fridge and hope they can find something to eat?

Happy Thanksgiving to you if you are reading this from Canada!   No matter where in the world you are, if you need some menu planning ideas, be sure to check out Menu Plan Monday over at Orgjunkie!

I make my roast in the crockpot. I sprinkle it with salt, pepper, garlic, minced onion, and paprika. Then, I know this is probably going to make some readers cringe, I brown it in bacon grease before I add it to the crockpot (I plan it so that we have bacon for breakfast on the nights I plan to make a roast). Set on top of the potatoes/carrots, add 1/4 cup water and cook on low for 8-9 hours.

Stopping by for a blog visit from Organizing Junkie’s Menu Plan Monday today!
I’m making a banana cake this week. Before that I have to stop by the store and buy a mixer.
Everything for this week’s menu plan sounds so wonderful.
I love this time of year when the temps have cooled down to something liveable in Las Vegas!
When I opened our coat closet I didn’t get hit with a blast of heat today. Now that’s much better.
I’ll be on the lookout for soup recipes to add to my recipe file box
