Twas the Week before Christmas

and I still had to menu plan!  I am continuing with the keep it simple theme this week.   A second week in a row with no tacos on our menu as well but that’s because my sister-in-law has a birthday on Saturday and that’s what we’ll be eating for her birthday dinner.

Monday (G’s first band concert!)

McDonald’s.  It is what happens when you haven’t properly made a menu plan and your husband has decided that painting the kitchen the week before Christmas would be a great idea.  Maybe he’s trying to tell me something about my baking skills.

Deer meat, baked potatoes, and salad.   My husband is cooking and I’m going to play Bunco!  It’s potluck night and I’m going to try this Magic Mint Chocolate Bark.  Wish me luck!

Chili  because we just might get some winter weather!

Roast in the crock pot (I’m hoping this with the chili will give us lots of choices for quick lunches over the weekend which is bound to be busy)

Chicken sandwiches and sweet potato fries (carried over from last week)

I’m planning to spend this week perhaps baking a few cookies (attempting to do that anyway), finishing up Christmas shopping, sending out Christmas Cards (again making an attempt at it!), and wrapping gifts once I’ve washed the tree skirt (the kittens took to playing with it and it is now covered in fur!).    What last-minute items are you taking care of this week?

I’m linking up with Menu Plan Monday over at as well as Menu Monday over at Erin Branscom even though it’s Tuesday because it’s never too late to menu plan!

Ha! It’s okay, really. He actually just about done and it looks nice 🙂 I’m not sure what I did but my bark wasn’t that pretty. It did taste good though. Thanks for stopping by and Merry Christmas to you!
