Old School Blogging, Alphabet Awareness

Thank you to Susan over at This Happy Mom tagged me in her post.  I’ve done one of these all about me A-Z type posts before but I think they are kind of fun and these questions were different so why not?  Please, don’t throw a bowl of alphabet soup at me if you don’t like these type of posts!  Seriously, I’d much prefer tomato or chicken tortilla!  The Old School Blogging Hostesses are Elaine from the Mis Elaine-ous Life and Jennifer P. Williams.  If tagged, you’re also supposed to tweet about with the hashtag #OSB which I promise I will do once I find my Twitter password.  I put it somewhere I wouldn’t lose it and well, we all know how that goes.  While I search for that, here are even more random things about me in alphabet form:

A. Attached or Single?

Attached and our 15 wedding year anniversary is this year!

B. Best Friend?

Connie although we don’t talk or get together often enough.

C. Cake or pie?

Pie wins by a meringue slide unless we are talking cookie cake but even then pie wins by a slice. 

D. Day of choice?

Tuesday

E. Essential Item?

Coffee 

F. Favorite color?

Green!  And yes, I realize that I chose hot pink for my answers today.

G. Gummy bears or worms?

I love SOUR gummy worms.  However, they don’t love me and I may have had an experience long ago with eating a few too many so they are on pretty much on my no list forever.

H. Hometown?

Kansas City, Missouri.

I. Favorite Indulgence?

Coffee Milk from Shatto Dairy

J. January or July?

July!  Give me the heat over cold, snow, and ice ANY time.  Plus, my favorite holiday is in July!

K. Kids?

Yes.  Two sons, an 8-year-old and a 12-year-old.

L. Life isn’t complete without?

Family and friends to share in both the joys and the sorrows.

M. Marriage date?

August 29, 1998.

N. Number of brothers/sisters?

I have 1 sister and 3 brothers, all older with a seven-year gap between the myself and the brother closest to my age.

O. Oranges or Apples.

Clementines when they are in season.  Apples any other time.

P. Phobias?

Static/fuzzy television screens.  I still can’t watch the movie Poltergeist and not be terrified for a few days. 

Q. Quotes?

R. Reasons to smile?

My husband, our children, our kittens, family, friends, sunshine (on my shoulders makes me happy…), summer, sleeping in, dessert, unexpected surprises, flowers, music, hot coffee, cold coffee, living in America (hey, I think that’s a song also!), swimming pools, good books and time to read them, mindless television, road trips, staying home, eating out, sleeping in,

S. Season of choice?

Sprummer!  I may or may not like Phineas and Ferb better than my children.  My favorite time of year though really is late spring into early summer.

U. Unknown fact about me?

I was the Features Editor of my high school newspaper a really, REALLY long time ago.

V. Vegetable?

I’m not a huge vegetable fan but I do like spinach and artichokes, preferably cooked together in some not so good for you creamy base to make a dip and served with salty tortilla chips!

W. Worst habit?

I have so many that I can’t decide…can I let you know later?  Oh wait, did I just answer the question in the preceding sentence?  Two of my worst habits:  Procrastination and Indecision.

X. Xray or Ultrasound?

Um, neither but I think an ultrasound would require less radiation so I’ll pick that if I have to choose.

Y. Your favorite food?

Any food I can sit and eat uninterrupted without having to get up or hear commentary about my cooking or the cooking of whoever prepared the food.  Eating ice cream in secret serves that purpose well.

Z. Zodiac sign?

Sagittarius.  Sometimes (when I want it to do so) the description fits me amazingly well.
