Cooler Weather Menu Plan

mpm-chalkboard The weather feels like fall out there.  Last Monday I was in no mood to cook or menu plan because it was just too hot.  This week, I’m actually a bit chilly!  I’m not much of a fall person (I’m trying though!) but one thing that I don’t mind about the change in the weather is that it usually puts me in the mood to at least attempt to cook and bake a bit more.  Our week is also light on activities which means I’ll have a bit more time to spend in the kitchen.  Here’s what I think will be on our table this week (as always, my menu plan is subject to change!):

MONDAY

The BEST chili topping!

The BEST chili topping!

Chili, it is simply perfect weather for it!   Maybe I’ll go all out and attempt to make some cornbread.

TUESDAY

Roasted Chicken Legs

WEDNESDAY

Fish tacos and fish sticks (carried over from last week)

THURSDAY

BBQ Chicken Pizza (using leftovers from Tuesday).   There is  also some brisket in the freezer that they can eat if by chance, they don’t like the pizza after trying it.

FRIDAY

Soup, salad, and baked potatoes (noodles in lieu  of soup for my child who hates soup) or leftovers or OUT or something else.

I’m linking up to Menu Plan Monday over at I’m an Organizing Junkie.  Go check it out if you need some ideas or inspiration as you’ll be sure to find it there!  Has fall arrived where you are?  What’s on your menu this week?

Eh, why try and and love a season if you don’t like it? I am not much of a spring person. By the time winter is over I am ready for the sun and all it seems to do is rain during the spring. I dislike spring and I’m not gonna try. LOL I guess it’s easy to see where my kids get their stubbornness

Ha, I love spring with all the new beginnings and green that returns to the world. Maybe that is why I am not so excited for fall…seems to mean more rain and cold around here. Still, I’m trying to make it my friend. Just as long as you are more stubborn than your kids…that’s okay but wait until they end up more stubborn than you. Oh boy. Not that I know about that kind of thing.

Ahhhhh, I love fall! I love baking and making those thick meals that don’t fit in summer time. Would be nice to feel a nip in the air. Fall could be very chilly – and very beautiful – in Minnesota where I grew up.

Both times I was there, it was during the summer so I don’t know about the winter but I’ve seen there temps on the news and yeah, I’ll stay here during the winter 🙂

I’m stopping by for a visit via Menu Plan Monday.
Woo! This has really blown right by. It’s already mid-September. The holidays will be upon us in a matter of time.
Everything looks delicious on your menu plan. Our thoughts and prayers are with those in Colorado and DC.
