We all have one of those days sometimes but this is starting to be one of those winters. Normally, I try to focus on the positive around here but today I need to make an exception and
whine get a few things off my chest. Feel free to add your vent in the comments at the bottom of this post. Here is my list of 3 things I am “snow” over!
I’m pretty sure you will be able to guess the very first item on this list and I have a feeling a few of you may share my frustration. We should all go have a groundhog roast on a warm beach with white sand somewhere…
I am SNOW OVER this winter. It’s been miserable cold with times of teasing us with spring-like temperatures. Then, yesterday we got hit with a foot of snow. It literally (in the correct sense of the word) snowed from dawn until dark!
Snow ice cream really wasn’t a hit and there may have been hitting during one of the many fights over the x-box between my boys. It is 5 degrees with a foot of snow out there today and we are already running low on snacks. I do know for certain that should the Zombie Apocalypse happen, we will have to be on the run because these boys will eat all the food in our home within the first 48 hours.
I am SNOW OVER my family constantly finding sickness. I once posted this about how we all stay healthy. I guess I need to eat crow (but only if it would help us health-wise) because one or all of us has been sick on a rotating basis since 3 weeks before Christmas. J stayed home from school on Monday with a fever and now G has been running a fever the past two days. I had stop working on this post to get him cold medicine.
I am SNOW OVER the refusal of the maid and cook to report for work every day. Every single day *I* have to pick up their slack and cook and clean and take care of all the people and animals (I’m now taking tips on how to explain to cats that the snow is over their heads and it is 5 degrees outside). SIGH, I’m never going to be able to go to the ball. Dear Fairy Godmother, can you just turn the pumpkin into a self-cleaning house and skip the rest? Thanks!
Of course, I have to end this on a positive note because that is just the right thing to do and I already feel better after
griping getting all those frustrations out of my system. Thanks for listening! I am not “snow over” having my family safe at home during a snowstorm, snuggling up with little cats and watching too much Netflix or reading, and I don’t think I’ll ever be “snow over” finding scenes like this on the living room floor:
Now, it’s your turn to vent. Leave a comment and let me know what you are snow over. And if you actually like winter, that’s okay as well. We can still be friends.
