I’m going to simply throw an (almost) wordless Wednesday post out there tonight. Let me just say that I despise jigsaw puzzles and yet J talked me into getting out a 500 piece puzzle on Monday. We’ve all taken turns (except G who shares me aversion to jigsaw puzzles…he helped in other ways) working on it all week. Tonight, it all came together. J called dibs on the last piece so I called dibs on the second to the last piece as I walked out the door to a meeting. I returned home to find 2 pieces of the puzzle waiting…a sweet gesture. Of course, then came the confession that he took those two pieces out of the puzzle for me. Here is a picture of the finished puzzle:
Follow Through can certainly feel like a jigsaw puzzle. It requires patience. There are sometimes missing pieces (found under the sofa). It seems impossible at the start. The middle often looks like a mess. However, nothing beats that feeling of accomplishment that comes from following through and actually finishing the project.

Great analogy, Jean! I enjoy puzzles – just never seem to have the time to do them.

Thanks! I realized I must have changed a bit because I used to be like my oldest son but I really didn’t mind working on this puzzle as much.
I really needed this today. Thanks Jean.

Glad you found it helpful!
Great job! And I love the comparison to completing complex projects to working on a jigsaw puzzle. Very apt! 🙂

Thank you.
What a beautiful puzzle to put together.
I ADORE puzzles, but often lack the space to start/complete them.
I last worked on a puzzle the day our ducts got cleaned. Last winter I completed 3 or 4 puzzles, and it felt SO good. I only kept one, because it’s in a cute tin 😉 Admittedly, it’s been bothering me a tad that I am even bothering to keep it. Will I do it again? I don’t know LOL
My problem with puzzles is that I don’t just sit down when I have time, I sit down ALL day, with a TON of guilt to boot LOL
I should get one going again, and get a sense of accomplishment. Like I should do a little something, then puzzle for a set time, then a little something, etc.

Thanks. We worked the puzzle on the game table (my Christmas gift from last year). Of course, it is still sitting there and starting to bug me but J is insisting we can’t take it apart yet. My husband would like to work another one (it came out of a box of 4) but not until that one is put away. I’m not sure what we’ll do at this point.
Well, you could always modge podge it, that way it’s just there 😉
Resale value isn’t all that great, so might as well, right?
Um, NO and no. 😉
