Happy Homemaker Monday, The Night Edition

Feels like it’s the midnight edition but really, it’s only 7:30. Been a bit of a long day. Not a bad one. Just a long one.  Worked all day, went to the grocery store, and now it’s time for a Monday planning post.

Be sure to check out all the great posts linked up with Sandra over at Diary Of A Stay At Home Mom!

The Weather Outside

Most definitely, autumn. Today it rained pretty much the entire day and I think the temperature inched up to 50. Maybe. Tomorrow there’s still a slight chance of rain with another predicted high of 50. Not sure what’s up with snowflakes on Thursday and Friday with predicted highs of 40. Hmm…

On The Breakfast Plate

Not enough coffee (ha!) and a Chobani Flip yogurt, peach cobbler flavor. Also, a Gamma G-Fuel pink lemonade water bottle.

As I Look Outside My Window

Darkness! I don’t care though. It’ll be light in the morning!

Right Now I Am

Taking a break to work on this post and trying not to think about the clothes in the washer or what to wear tomorrow.

Looking Around The House

The living room is a bit of a mess, the kitchen in a bit of a mess, you get the idea

On Today’s To-Do List

  1. Work
  2. Grocery Store
  3. This post (in progress)
  4. Bake cookies for lunches (dough is already made)

  6. Still need to figure out J’s birthday!
  7. Tomorrow: VOTE!

Currently Reading

Between books as I just finished A Terrible Country by Keith Gessen yesterday. It was an interesting novel about a man who immigrated with his parents to America at age 6 returning to Moscow to help his ailing grandmother.

On The TV Today

My husband’s watching The Voice. I may watch Manifest if I can stay awake.

On The Menu This Week

Little late with my replies this week. Hope your voting went well. We waited an hour yesterday morning! Hope your week is going great as well!

Hi Jean! Oh boy, I can surely relate to your first sentence. It’s been a long week already. Not a bad one, just long and it’s Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. Where do you live as I have the same weather (I’m in Wisconsin). Breakfast – coffee, yes please!! And the Chobani Flip in peach cobbler. I just tried that on Saturday, and on Sunday the Chocolate Brownie flavor. I didn’t think either one had the promised flavors, at all. Do you like them?!! Love Manifest but I cannot stay awake that long, and your gray cat – too cute! Happy Tuesday! ~smile~ Roseanne

Think I need to amend that sentence to say a long week, not a bad one but a long one. I’m in the KC Missouri area. I do like the Chobani Flip yogurts but some flavors are definitely better than others. The chocolate brownie isn’t one of my favorites. I do like the pumpkin pie one but I’m not about to tell you it tastes anything like pumpkin pie (it doesn’t) as well as the honey nut crisp (something like that) one, feels like a true breakfast one. I’m hoping Manifest hits Netflix at some point so I can get all caught up on it. Hope you’ve had a wonderful Wednesday!

I bet your afternoon does seem long if you’re starting before the sunrise! I prefer sleeping before that sunrise 😉 Hope your week is going well so far!

Enjoyed reading your Monday night post, Jean. Sounds like it was a long day and you were ready for rest. Am wondering if we’ll really get the snow tomorrow night. The last I saw we were in the 1- to 2-inch band. Wouldn’t that be something! And it looks like Saturday may very well be the morning for my impromptu frost flower hike. We shall see! I still need to look for those Chobani’s! Peach cobbler I’m sure would be a favorite flavor if I ever remember to try them! LOL! Love the picture of your kitty. Looks like he (she) is enjoying the sunshine. Our old cat hasn’t been out in days! :/ Well…have a great Wednesday, my friend! Blessings for a great rest of the week and a wonderful weekend! <3

Thank you. It’s been a bit of a long week. I thought the preschool kids were pretty calm today if weather’s supposed to be moving into our area (and it was even a tornado drill day!). Of course, I work tomorrow so if it’s due tomorrow night, my day may be interesting, LOL! I’m hoping they’re wrong on this as we have places to be but it’s not supposed to stick at least. Your frost flower hikes always look like fun! Hope your week is going great so far.
