Happy Homemaker Uh, Wednesday, Hello!

Another full work week and a bit of a busy mixed up one. Still, wanted to get a quick weekly planning post going. Mid-week or not.

Still going to link up with Sandra over at Diary Of A Stay At Home Mom. Visits to everyone likely to be later still this week.

Let’s just get to it:

The Weather

Rainy, then hot, then rainy again. Cloudy skies this morning and a bit humid. Rain is supposed to move in and cool things off sometime before noon. It was 93 degrees yesterday afternoon. The upper 70’s to start today.

How I’m Feeling This Morning

A bit rushed, tired. Ready to go to work but glad to be going in a bit later (9:30) this morning.

On My Mind

What the day ahead holds. Again, (louder for the folks in the back) that kindness matters! Read something earlier that just made me sad at how people act nowadays (oh boy, that word makes me sound ancient!).

On My To Do List

  1. Grocery store DONE
  2. Pay bills Mostly DONE
  3. Get this post up (in progress)
  4. Laundry
  5. Still need to clean down here

On My Breakfast Plate

Chobani Flip Yogurt, new flavor! Lemon Meringue Pie. And coffee. And two gummy immune support vitamins. The usual.

On My Reading Pile

Same. Summer At The Castle Cafe by Donna Ashcroft

On My TV

Not much so far this week. Watched more Fear The Walking Dead on Sunday.

On The Menu This Week:

MONDAY: Roast in crock pot (BBQ sandwiches) *J had a baritone lesson at 6:30* *I worked 8:30-4:30*

TUESDAY: OUT, we ordered from a favorite Mexican restaurant *I worked 8:30-5:30*

WEDNESDAY: not sure, husband is off but I planned ham steak, cornbread, and black-eyed peas. His choice though. *I work 9:30-?, not sure as I’m covering for meetings*

THURSDAY: Maybe steak bites and baked potatoes *I work 3:30-6 for sure, may need to be in earlier*

FRIDAY: No idea, husband’s choice *I work 9:30-6*

From The Camera

Looking Around The House

We need to clean!

On My Prayer List

Family. Friends. The country. For a kindness pandemic to replace the Covid-19 one.

Quote For The Week

If you judge people, you have no time to love them. (Mother Teresa)

I like the key lime as well especially in the summer. My favorite is the peach cobbler, I think. They’ve added new flavors: I’ve spotted lemon meringue (good), red velvet cake (not my favorite but I’m also not a huge red velvet cake fan to start), and banana cream pie (yet to try). My week settled a bit and I ended up with yesterday off and not going in today until 3:30. Hope your Thursday is off to a terrific start!

Just wanted to tell you about the juvenile crows. Adult crows are really big. Two juvenile crows are trying to eat from the bird feeder. They are about 1 1/2 the size of the finches. There are 4 bird stands around a plastic cylinder of seeds on the feeder. The bottom of the cylinder is the opening for the birds. When the crow lands he is too big to reach the seeds in front of him. One figured out he could reach around the cylinder to the next opening to grab seeds. The other one hasn’t figured it out yet. Funny.

Crows are super smart birds! Probably lots of fun to watch. Do they go through the seed pretty fast? Hope you’re having a great week!

Those blue flowers (cornflowers? chicory?) were my Dad’s favorites! Have a beautiful week, my friend!

Chicory 🙂 One of my favorites as well. All over along the sides of the highways up here. Hope you are having a great week so far!

Thank you! Sadly, it didn’t last long in the vase. Learned my lesson, need to just admire them where they grow. Should just order some seeds. My week actually did calm down. Work canceled me for yesterday and I don’t need to be in until 3:30 today. Glad to have a little break but I’ll also be glad to be working a full day again tomorrow. Hope you are having a great Thursday.

I love your flower photo! It looks like it is waving a nice hello to me 🙂 I hope that you had a good day at work and got your to do list done. I also need to clean my house. Just seems like I have no motivation! LOL

Thank you! I did manage to get a few things done (unexpected day off) including cleaning the house a bit (can’t tell now as everyone else was also home, LOL). We’re on our second cloudy, rainy day in a row this week…motivation ship has definitely sailed elsewhere around here. Hope you’re having a great week!
